Fonepay Student Ambassador 2025: Represent the Digital Change
The Fonepay Student Ambassador (FSA) program for 2025 is a pioneering effort that provides Nepalese students with the tools they need to lead, educate, and inspire their communities in today’s digital transformation reshaping the financial ecosystem. It creates an environment for the student to gain knowledge and also to pour their knowledge into digital well-being.
The FSA program is designed to encourage digital literacy, enhance leadership capabilities, and create a nationwide network of youth ambassadors driving the adoption of digital payment systems like Fonepay.
What is the Fonepay Student Ambassador (FSA) Program?
The program “Fonepay Student Ambassador” is a youth-centric platform that encourages youth and college students to become advocates of digital financial literacy. The core theme of the program is “Time to Teach Back,” which helps to empower students to learn essential concepts in digital finance, marketing, and design thinking capabilities and to disseminate that knowledge in their local communities to raise financial awareness in various aspects.
The program aims to:
- Build awareness and usage of Fonepay Services.
- Encourage the youth to become active contributors to the digital economy.
- Promote financial inclusivity by educating communities about digital payment systems.
Program Structure and Learning Framework
The program is structured to ensure an immersive and outcome-driven experience. Selected ambassadors undergo a rigorous training program followed by practical fieldwork.
Selection Process
Fonepay selects 150 ambassadors from more than 50 colleges across all 7 provinces of Nepal. The selection is based on online applications submitted by students passionate about digital finance and community leadership.
Training Workshop
Ambassadors attend a comprehensive one-day workshop where they receive professional-level training in:
- Strategic marketing and promotional techniques
- Fundamentals of digital finance
- Storytelling and presentation skills
- In-depth understanding of Fonepay Direct and its ecosystem
This training equips ambassadors with the necessary knowledge and skills to represent Fonepay and execute campaigns in their respective colleges and communities.
Challenge-Based Learning
Post-training of this campaign, ambassadors engage in a series of five structured challenges designed to help them apply their learning in real-life scenarios. These challenges range from promoting Fonepay Direct within campuses, engaging merchants and peers, conducting educational sessions, and producing content that advocates digital payments.
This challenge-based model fosters hands-on experience, enhances critical thinking, and encourages collaborative learning. Below are the challenges of FSA 2025 for participants.
1. Fonepay Direct Promo Code Challenge
- Category: Digital Fund Transfer
- Objectives:
- Promote the use of Fonepay Direct for easy and secure money transfers.
- Drive user engagement by encouraging promo code usage during transactions.
- Reward: 2 Ultima Smartwatches
- Deadline: 10th July 2025 (tentative)
2. Mobile Top-Up Challenge
- Category: Mobile Recharge via Banking App
- Objectives:
- Increase awareness of mobile top-up features available in banking apps.
- Encourage first-time digital mobile recharges through user referrals.
- Reward: 2 Ultima Smartwatches
- Deadline: 10th July 2025 (tentative)
3. Content Creation Challenge
- Category: Short Video Content
- Objectives:
- Educate users on Fonepay Direct’s key benefits through creative short videos.
- Drive social media engagement via informative and relatable content.

- Deadline: Post by 21st June 2025; engagement tracked until 10th July
4. Awareness BTL/Training Challenge (Teach Back)
- Category: On-Campus Activation
- Objectives:
- Conduct in-person sessions to demonstrate Fonepay services to students.
- Enhance product understanding using live demos, quizzes, and interaction.
- Reward: 2 Ultima Smartwatches
- Deadline: 26th June 2025
5. Senior Citizen Digital Shift Challenge
- Category: Digital Education Video
- Objectives:
- Teach at least one elderly individual how to use Fonepay for digital transactions.
- Empower older adults to become confident users of digital financial tools.
- Reward: 2 Ultima Smartwatches
- Deadline: Submit by 26th June, 2025, 8 PM (This is an estimated date, the final date shall be confirmed once the contest starts).
Rewards and Incentives
The FSA program not only offers skill development but also recognizes and rewards top-performing ambassadors for their efforts and creativity.
- MacBook Air is awarded to the top two performers based on their overall impact and performance in the challenges.
- Internship opportunities with F1Soft Group are extended to students who successfully complete all five challenges.
