Associate QA Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Support project analysis and planning activities, including requirement analysis, test strategy input, effort estimation, and risk assessment.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain all QA documentation, such as Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Closure Reports, and Release Notes.
  • Design, review, and execute functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT test cases, including complex and business-critical scenarios.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze performance, load, and stress testing, and communicate findings, bottlenecks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in QA, including researching new tools, improving testing methodologies, and implementing best practices across projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PMO, Development, Tech Support, Operations) to manage day-to-day testing activities, defect tracking, issue escalation, mentoring of junior team members, and timely updates in Jira.

Requirement: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
  • Prior Years of Experience required: 2-3 years.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office for test documentation, reporting, and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, testing methodologies, and SDLC in fintech systems.
  • Ability to create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports using tools such as Jira.
  • Working knowledge of manual testing with exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium or equivalent).
  • Good SQL knowledge for database testing and validation of financial and transactional data integrity.
  • Basic experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and performance analysis.
  • Basic exposure or interest in AI-assisted testing techniques for improving test coverage and efficiency.
